HP Slate Rebranded for Business, Priced at $799

It took them awhile to stop messing around and finalize a product, but HP’s finally done it--the HP Slate 500 is finished and ready to tackle the iPad. That is, if you’re a professional . Over the past year we’ve seen plenty of Slate teases from HP, but apparently the company decided its Windows 7 tablet didn’t belong in the same market segment as Apple’s. They’re now calling it a tablet “specifically branded for business, enterprise, and vertical customers” and set a $799 price point.

Despite the business branding, this is almost exactly the same device we saw at CES.
